What is the difference between a solar thermal panel and a photovoltaic panel?

The operation of solar panel as well as photovoltaic panel is entirely dependent on the sun. The disadvantage is that when the water heater is “at good temperature”, the panels continue to produce without being able to conserve the energy produced.

 

Photovoltaic solar panels

Photovoltaic solar panel installations convert sunlight into electricity using the photovoltaic cells. With the inverter, the direct current will be converted into alternating current and connected to the electricity distribution network.

The energy drawn from the rays will first be transformed into electric current. The electricity produced is ready for use, but can also be stored in batteries.
